Shuttle buses to religious sites from Prayagraj and Vindhyachal rly stations

Prayagraj: Under the Prayagraj Amrit Bharat Station Yojana, shuttle buses and luxury vehicles will now be available from Prayagraj and Vindhyachal railway stations to religious places at affordable rates. With this initiative, one can easily visit Vindhyachal, Varanasi, and Ayodhya from Sangam city.
“Under the scheme, the upgradation work of Mirzapur, Chunar, and Vindhyachal stations is progressing at a fast pace. For the convenience of passengers at these stations, arrangements are being made for air-conditioned waiting rooms, better parking, drinking water facilities, as well as shuttle buses connecting religious places and prepaid taxi booths,” senior divisional commercial manager, Prayagraj division, Himanshu Shukla.
In the first phase, this service is being started from Prayagraj Junction and Vindhyachal station. Licensed operators will make the journey memorable.
“To provide smooth and comfortable travel to the passengers, licensed operators will operate vehicles like shuttle buses, Innova, and mini buses. These vehicles will take passengers to Hanuman Temple in Prayagraj, Maa Vindhyavasini Temple in Vindhyachal, Bava Vishwanath Temple in Banaras, and Ramlalla Temple in Ayodhya under a prescribed circuit,” said Shukla.

Under the circuit, the journey will be completed from Vindhyachal to Varanasi and Ayodhya, he added.
This service will not only save time and money but also provide an opportunity for the passengers to visit the pilgrimage sites in a safe and systematic manner.
This railways initiative is expected to boost religious tourism, which will also give a fillip to the local economy.
Railway officials say that this scheme will be extended to other Amrit Bharat stations in the future, so that pilgrims from all over the country can take advantage of this facility.
