Kodiaq 2025

Skoda Kodiaq 2025 Hits Indian Market

On April 17, 2025, Skoda Auto India introduced the second-generation Kodiaq SUV at a starting price of ₹46.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The premium seven-seater, made in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, comes in two trims, Sportline and Selection L&K, with the top-end model priced at ₹48.69 lakh. It competes against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and MG Gloster.

Kodiaq 2025 Design and Features

The new Kodiaq stands out with its fascinating butterfly grille, split LED headlights, and C-shaped LED taillights joined via a light bar. Underneath, the SUV, which rests on the MQB platform, is now 4,758 mm long, which is 61 mm more than the earlier model. The Sportline variant has darkened parts while having chrome embellishment and beige upholstery for the L&K trim. The vehicle comes in seven colors, with Moon White and Race Blue as two options.

Inside, one will find a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It can also boast a digital driver display of 10.25 inches, a heads-up display, and a 14-speaker Canton audio system. For convenience, a Smart Dial system with three rotary knobs has been provided to simplify controls. Further, the feature comprises heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and four USB-C ports.

Kodiaq 2025 Performance and Safety

The Kodiaq rides on a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. A seven-speed DSG automatic transmission and all-wheel drive further enhance the vehicle’s performance. Skoda promises a fuel efficiency of 14.86 kmpl, which is suitable for city commuting and long drives. However, diesel or hybrid lovers will not be happy as they are providing a petrol variant only.

Safety is well taken care of with up to nine airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control. Among others, it features Level 2 ADAS equipment such as adaptive cruise control and lane keeping. So, the Kodiaq makes something of a tough offer for the family or adventure-seeker.

Market Position and Availability

On 17 April, Skoda began booking slots for the Kodiaq and then started deliveries on the 2nd of May. The welcome change is the bump in price compared to the previous model, which stood at ₹39.99 lakh. This is perhaps a reflection of the plush cabin stuffed with gadgets as well as the refined external look as requisite justification for the costs. While others, such as the Fortuner, go rugged in the feel and presentation, Kodiaq achieves an urban-refined yet versatile character.
