Skoda has launched the new Monte Carlo edition of the sedan in the Indian market with prices starting at Rs 15.79 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the first time the Czech brand has introduced the Monte Carlo version of the Slavia for Indian consumers. Earlier, this badge was only available with the Rapid and Kushaq. The automaker will begin taking bookings for the models starting September 6. To attract consumers, the manufacturer says that the consumers making the first 5,000 bookings can avail benefits of up to Rs 30,000.
Based on the top-spec trim of the Slavia, the Monte Carlo variants get all the features offered by the Prestige variants. However, the appearance of the sedan has been slightly changed and can be differentiated because of elements like black highlights on various parts including door handles, the badges, grille, side skirts, rear spoiler, and the bumper. To complement it all, the brand is also offering 16-inch black alloy wheels. The paint scheme options for the new versions are Tornado Red and Candy White.
On the inside, the sedan is upholstered in dual-tone interiors featuring red and black colours. This theme extends to the instrument cluster which follows a red theme. The sedan gets all the features that the brand offers on the Prestige variant. Specifically, the brand offers features like an 8-speaker audio system, front ventilated seats, powered sunroof, ORVMs, and an 8-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
Under the hood, the Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo comes with three either a 1.0-litre turbo petrol with transmission options including a 6-speed manual transmission and a torque converter automatic transmission or a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine paired to a 7-speed DSG.
The brand has also launched the Sportline version of the Slavia which comes priced at Rs 14.05 lakh (ex-showroom). This version is placed between the Signature and the Prestige trim and comes with a design very similar to the Monte Carlo version. The paint scheme options for the vehicle include Carbon Steel, Deep Black, Lava Blue, and Brilliant Silver. Meanwhile, the powertrain options are the same as the Monte Carlo badge version.
