Lucknow: Vehicles will soon run at higher speed on the Lucknow-Agra expressway.
The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority on Friday announced that the speed limit for four-wheelers would be increased from the present 100 km/hr to 120km/hr.
The decision was taken in the board meeting of UPEIDA chaired by chief secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, who is also the CEO of the Authority.
The speed limit will be revised as per the standards prescribed by the National Highways Authority of India for access-controlled expressways.

Tempo travellers and mini-buses and similar commercial vehicles would be allowed to ply at 100 km/hr instead of the existing 80 km/hr. No change will be made in the speed limit (80 km/hr) for trucks, buses and bikes. UPEIDA officials said the notification would be issued in the coming days.
