Tata Altroz Facelift Unveiled: New Tech & Smarter Design

Tata Motors has unveiled the mid-life update for the . The official launch will take place on May 22, 2025. The new Altroz comes with a new exterior design. Its interior layout has also been updated. The new version comes with several new features, some of which are segment-first. Prices will be revealed when the 2025 Altroz goes on sale next week. While the Altroz sees a revised design and updated interior, Tata Motors has not updated the powertrain of the hatchback.

The update brings significant changes to the Altroz’s exterior design. The front has been completely revised. Though retaining the same shape as before, the headlights now feature new and smarter-looking internals. The front bumper also bears a new look, lending the Altroz a smart-looking front end. You’d also notice new alloy wheels and flush door handles for the front doors, which are also illuminated. At the back, you’ll see a new set of tail-lamps that are now connected by an LED strip. There is also a new look for the rear bumper.

Altroz Facelift’s Interior Inspired By New Nexon

There are significant changes inside the cabin, too. The dashboard layout has been updated. You’d find it similar to the one seen on newer Tata models such as the Curvv and Nexon. In the centre is a 10.25-inch touchscreen display. You also get a fully digital instrument cluster of the same size. Certain features have also been carried over from the older version. These include a 36-degree surround view camera, cruise control, an electric sunroof, and automatic headlight, to name a few.

While Tata Motors hasn’t confirmed the new Altroz engine lineup, it will likely stay the same as before. This means the 88 hp 1.2-litre petrol, 74 hp 1.2-litre CNG, and 90 hp 1.5-litre diesel engines will be carried over. Transmission options will stay the same, with the entire lineup featuring a 5-speed manual as standard. The petrol engine will also get a 6-speed DCT automatic.
