Tata Harrier EV Achieves 5-Star Safety Rating In Bharat NCAP Crash Tests

The Tata Harrier.ev has achieved an impressive 5-star safety rating from the Bharat NCAP safety tests. This marks the fourth electric vehicle (EV) from Tata and the seventh product overall to receive a five-star safety rating from the indigenous New Car Assessment Program. In the tests, the Harrier.ev scored a perfect 32 out of 32 points in adult occupant protection and 45 out of 49 points in child occupant protection, earning five stars in both categories. This rating is valid for all Harrier.ev units manufactured after June 2025 and for the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variants with the 75 kWh and 65 kWh battery pack.

The Tata Harrier.ev delivers strong electric performance, thanks to its dual-motor setup that generates a combined 504Nm of torque. The rear motor pushes out 234bhp, while the front motor adds another 154bhp. You can pick between two battery sizes: 65 kWh and 75 kWh, with the larger battery offering an impressive range of up to 627km on a single charge. Fast-charging isn’t an issue either: a quick 15-minute top-up gives you 250km of range, and using a 120kW DC fast charger, the battery can go from 20% to 80% in just 25 minutes.

Step inside, and the Harrier EV mirrors the plush experience of its ICE counterpart. It features dual-zone climate control, ventilated and powered front seats, twin digital displays, a premium 10-speaker JBL audio system, and a 360-degree camera with a transparent bonnet view for added visibility. It also debuts some segment-first features like an auto park assist system and packs advanced Level 2 ADAS for enhanced safety and driver support.
