The Punch EV has always been an easy entry point into electric mobility. It offers SUV styling in a compact size, practical range options and the familiar Tata safety reputation. With rivals like the Tiago EV and Citroën eC3 targeting the same audience, this update is about adding more technology and usability without changing the formula that made the car popular.

Battery Options
The current Punch EV comes with two battery choices, which are – a 25kWh pack delivering a claimed 265km range and a larger 35kWh unit offering up to 365km. These are expected to continue because they already suit different types of users – the smaller battery for daily city commutes and the larger one for people who want fewer charging stops.

However, what has created the biggest buzz is the possibility of a much larger battery option as recent brand communication hints at a long-range version that could travel more than 590km on a single charge. If this becomes reality, it would completely change how people look at affordable EVs, pushing the Punch EV into a space that currently belongs to bigger and more expensive electric SUVs.

Design
Tata has chosen evolution over revolution. The facelift keeps the recognisable Punch EV silhouette but introduces a cleaner, more modern front bumper, a larger air intake and updated headlamp detailing with dark elements.
