The new XEV 9e and BE 6 top variant prices are revealed, Here’s battery range, specification, and the booking schedule

Mahindra and Mahindra revealed the price of its X Sev 9 e and BE Passenger Electric SUV. The top of the line models with 79 kWh battery packs go for Rs 30.90 lakh in the Ex-showroom Delhi version and Rs 26.9 lakh in the Chennai version. Availability is from February 14 while the confinement will commence from March 2025. Two models share rather progressive batteries, extended range, and sophisticated interior.

Mahindra and Mahindra on Tuesday unveiled the price of the much anticipated Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 extreme models. While it isn’t clear which specific kinds of electric SUVs the firms are thinking about, it is true that the two will feature three models: Pack One, Pack Two, and Pack Three. Earlier this year, the company had fixed the price for the bare bones versions.

The Mahindra XEV 9e comes in two variants depending on the battery capacity; the basic model with a 40kWh battery and Pack Three with a full battery of 79 kWh will be priced Rs 30.90 lakh.

The BE 6’s higher-end Pack Three trim will set you back by Rs 26.9 lakh (both are ex-showroom prices, although the home charger shouldn’t cost more than Rs 1 lakh and should be sourced separately).

In the package announced under the ‘Three For Me’ program, the BE 6 could be driven home for an EMI of Rs 39,224 and the XEV 9E at Rs 45,450. On the XEV 9e model and the BE 6 Pack Two, the pricing is yet to be dropped in the market.

The bookings for the XEV 9e top-spec variant are available from February 14, while the test drives shall be available in batches starting January 14. SUV’s delivery timeline originally intended to be set starting this March of 2025.

The same goes for the BE 6 models, of which the bookings will commence next month, with the deliveries set for early March.

Mahindra XEV 9e, BE 6: Battery pack, range
The SUVs are, in fact, rolling off the production line as part of the INGLO, the in-house built platform at Mahindra. The Mahindra XEV 9e will be available with two battery options: a 59kWh and a 79kWh unit. Both use Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry It requires a charging voltage of 2.5 V- 3.6 V, discharge voltage of 1. 5 V – 2 V and an operating temperature of -20 °C – 50 °C.

The vehicle has an integrated power train described as the compact three in one comprising of a motor, an inverter and a transmission system.

This is despite the XEV 9e with the 79kWh battery boasting of a range of 656km on the MIDC cycle While Mahindra indicates that it 9e with the battery offers a range of 533km on the European WLTP.

The battery technology of the XEV 9e includes an 11 kW onboard charger. It also provides extra plans for the 7.2kW and 11kW charger choices as well. When using the 7.2kW charger, the 59kWh battery fully charges in 8.7 hours, while charging using the 11kW charger only takes 6 hours.

7.2 kW charger for 79 kWh battery takes 11.7 hours and 11 kW charger requires 8 hours to charge the battery.
