This Kia SUV Is As Safe As Tata Punch; Scores 5-Star In BNCAP Crash Tests

The scored a five-star rating in adult and child occupant protection in the crash tests conducted by . It is the first Kia vehicle to be tested by India’s vehicle safety assessment agency. Syros scored 30.21/32 in adult occupant protection and 44.42/49 in child occupant protection, awarding it an overall 5-star safety rating.

Bharat NCAP tested the HTX Plus and the HTX (O) variants of the Syros. However, the results apply to all variants of the SUV. The Syros comes standard with six airbags, ISOFIX, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC), in addition to the safety systems mandated by law. With this safety rating, the Syros joins other made-in-India SUVs, such as the Tata Punch, Hyundai Tucson, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and others, scoring a 5-star safety rating.

The Kia Syros is available in five grades: HTK, HTK(O), HTK+, HTX, and HTX+. Prices start from Rs 8.99 lakh and go up to Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
