This New Electric Vehicle Maker To Enter India Soon: To Launch Premium Models

In a significant expansion of its operations, has announced its intention to introduce the electric vehicle (EV) brand in India. Shailesh Hazela, CEO and Managing Director of Stellantis India, noted, “We already have a strong presence here with our and Citroën brands and recognise the strategic importance and immense potential that India holds.”

Leapmotor C10

Leapmotor is a collaboration between Stellantis and China-based Leapmotor, offering a range of vehicles that currently includes two SUVs, the C10 and B10, as well as the compact T03 model. In 2024, the joint venture achieved impressive growth, delivering nearly 300,000 vehicles and doubling its year-over-year performance.

While specific details regarding which Leapmotor models will be available in India are still unknown, Hazela hinted at the introduction of premium EVs tailored for the country’s increasingly affluent consumers. He stated, “We look forward to bringing premium EVs to India’s upwardly mobile consumers—vehicles that redefine modern driving with cutting-edge technology, comfort, and sustainability.” This move is expected to further strengthen Stellantis’s footprint in the Indian automotive market.
