This Skoda Slavia Only Has Two Wheels And No Engine!

Before Skoda got into making cars, they were producing motorcycles under the name Laurin & Klement. Their first bike was the Slavia B, launched back in 1899. It had a 240cc engine that delivered 1.75 hp and could hit a top speed of 40 km/h. Fast forward to today, and Skoda has unveiled a cool concept that pays tribute to that original bike—still called the Slavia B, but this time it’s electric!

New Pays Homage To Skoda’s First Motorcycle

This concept was crafted by Romain Bucaille, one of Skoda’s in-house designers. He tried to keep the look as close to the 1899 model as possible. Just like the original, this concept has a frame that hangs lower than the rest of the bike. While the vintage version had an engine nestled within the frame, this concept has an empty space instead, finished off with a floating Laurin & Klement badge.

Beyond the overall look, the Slavia B concept has some neat details that nod back to the original bike. It features lots of leather trim, like on the handlebars, footpegs, tool bag, and seat. Bucaille also made sure it has a futuristic vibe with a unique LED headlight, oversized wheels, and panels that look like they belong in a modern art gallery.
