Toyota Innova Hycross Bharat NCAP Crash Test: 5-Star Rating Explained

Bharat NCAP has released the crash test safety ratings for the Toyota Innova Hycross. This MPV has achieved an impressive five-star rating in both adult occupant protection and child occupant protection. In the adult occupant protection category, the Hycross received a score of 30.47 out of 32 points, while in child occupant protection, it scored 45.00 out of 49 points.

Bharat NCAP conducts its safety tests in three main categories: Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier, Side Movable Deformable Barrier, and Side Pole Impact. The Innova Hycross performed well in all three tests, achieving good to adequate safety, the two highest levels for adult occupant protection. For child safety, the Hycross achieved a perfect dynamic score of 24 out of 24 points, a CRS installation score of 12 out of 12 points, and 9 out of 13 points in vehicle assessment.

Standard safety features on the Innova Hycross include six airbags, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminders for all three rows, and ISOFIX child seat anchorage points. With this safety test, the Innova Hycross has become the first Toyota vehicle to receive a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP.
