  • Features the authentic Bonneville styling

The Triumph Bonneville 400 was recently spied testing in Europe, giving us a glimpse into what to expect in terms of its styling and cycle parts. And now, we can reveal that the Bonneville 400 will be launched in India in Q4 2026.

While the exact launch date isn’t available yet, Triumph is expected to launch the modern-classic bike around the festive period, just before Diwali. In fact, had the new GST rules not come into effect in September 2025, the Bonneville 400 would’ve been on sale in India by now. Since Bajaj-Triumph had to rework the engine to bring it under 350cc, the Bonneville’s launch has been pushed to later this year.

While the export-spec model will be powered by a 398cc motor, the Indian version will use a 349cc, liquid-cooled engine, similar to the rest of the 400 lineup. However, this motor is likely to feature a different state of tune to suit the Bonneville’s modern-retro character.

In terms of design, the motorcycle will stay true to the Bonneville lineage with a large teardrop-shaped fuel tank, boxy side panels, long and chunky mudguards, and a peashooter-style exhaust canister. The test prototype was seen with a new single-pod instrument cluster and a small circular tail lamp. The Triumph Bonneville 400 is also likely to feature a different subframe to accommodate a flat bench-style seat with white piping.

Staying true to its heritage, the Bonneville 400 will feature traditional hardware in the form of telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Even the spoke wheels add to its retro charm.
