Triumph Speed T4 In 2026 – Here’s What The Most Affordable Triumph Offers Under Rs 2 Lakh!

Triumph Speed T4 Price, Features And Changes Explained

A few years back, if someone said that they were buying a Triumph Speed model for under Rs 2 Lakh in India, they would have probably been laughed out of the room. However, Triumph made it possible in collaboration with Bajaj Auto and launched its 400cc segment motorcycles in India. Currently, the entry-level Triumph motorcycles include models such as the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X and the new Speed T4 is the entry-level model priced at Rs 1.95 lakh ex-showroom despite the higher GST tax rates. Let’s take a closer look at what the manufacturer offers in its most affordable bike for the Indian market.

The Triumph Speed T4 is essentially a detuned version of the standard Speed 400, making it more suitable for everyday city use. It gets the same 398cc, liquid-cooled engine but makes a lower power output of 30.5 hp and 36 Nm torque when compared to the Speed 400’s 38.5 hp and 37.5 Nm torque. While not visible at first, there are considerable cost cuts to the Speed T4 when you take a closer look. These include the telescopic front forks that have replaced the gold-finished USD forks, the non-adjustable levers, axially mounted front callipers, and conventional mirrors instead of bar-end mirrors. While these changes make the Speed T4 more affordable, it still retains the fundamentals of the Speed 400, including engaging performance, great handling and top-notch quality equipment.

The Speed T4 gives enthusiasts a gateway into the Triumph brand without burning a hole in their pocket. After the recent GST price hikes, the manufacturer has also confirmed a new line of 350cc Speed motorcycles that will bypass the higher tax rates on high-capacity motorcycles and bring the prices lower. With the engine remaining the same with a smaller bore, you can expect the upcoming Triumph 350s to have better low-end torque and competitive acceleration. However, if the spec sheet matters, then the Speed T4 is a potent choice in the 400cc segment currently and offers both reliable performance and brand prestige to young riders in the country. It even offers dual-tone colour options for the fuel tank to keep the style quotient high.
