Triumph Thruxton 400 Launched at Rs. 2,65,538

  • 41bhp and 37.5Nm; top speed 161kmph
  • Price relief is due to the 18 percent GST benefit on the new 350cc engines
  • Low seat, short wheelbase and sportier geometry

Triumph Motorcycles has revised the price of the Thruxton 400 in India making it available at Rs. 2,65,538 ex-showroom Delhi. The price revision comes due to the 18 percent GST benefit on the new 350cc engines helping create more competitive pricing across the range. The motorcycle produces 41bhp at 9,000rpm and 37.5Nm at 7,500rpm. 0-60kmph is dispatched at 2.9 seconds, 0-100kmph time of 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 161kmph.

Thruxton 400 uses a USD front fork and a monoshock at the rear. Its wheelbase stands at 1,376mm making it shorter than the Speed T4, Speed 400 and both Scrambler 400 models, which should help give it a more compact and agile feel. Ground clearance at 158mm makes it the lowest in this set. Saddle height of 795mm makes it the most accessible of the lot for a wide range of riders. Also the kerb weight at 183kg is decent enough to not cause any problems for a range of riders. Braking duties are done by a 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc.

The updated specifications show it sits at the sharper end of the 400 range in power output obviously making it the quicker motorcycles in the family. Its lower seat height combined with a shorter wheelbase should make it easier to approach without taking away from its sporty edge.

Triumph has also said the updated line-up continues to deliver the same engineering quality, refinement, engine character and fit and finish that have helped its 400 range build a following in India. The company said it is entering FY27 with strong confidence, backed by the success of the 400 range, a fast-growing retail network of more than 230 stores across over 200 towns and an increasingly active riding community in the mid-capacity segment.
