TVS Launches iQube Electric Scooter In Indonesia

TVS Motor Company has officially entered the Indonesian electric two-wheeler market with the launch of its all-electric scooter, the TVS iQube. The scooter is now available for bookings in Indonesia at an introductory price of IDR 29.9 million, which roughly translates to Rs 1.6 lakh.

The iQube will be assembled locally at the PT TVS Motor manufacturing plant in East Karawang. This marks a strategic move by TVS to strengthen its footprint in Southeast Asia, especially as demand for electric vehicles continues to grow in the region.

Indonesia’s EV adoption in the two-wheeler segment has surged significantly, with a compound annual growth rate of 101% over the past three years. TVS sees this momentum as an opportunity to offer a high-quality, reliable electric product at competitive pricing.

The iQube brings a proven combination of performance, comfort, and value to the table,” said James Chan, Senior Vice President – ASEAN, TVS Motor Company. He also noted that the company is working on strengthening its EV-ready sales and service network to provide a seamless customer experience.

Globally, the iQube has already achieved considerable success, with over 6 lakh units sold. Madhu Prakash Singh, Vice President – EV International Business at TVS, expressed confidence that the scooter’s smooth and comfortable ride will win over Indonesian customers as well. The TVS iQube offers a practical 115 km of real-world range on a single charge, a top speed of 78 kmph, and can sprint from 0 to 40 kmph in just 4.2 seconds.
