and the have collaborated to mark the 24th Kargil with a special all-women motorcycle rally. The rally, comprising 25 women riders representing the Indian Army, commenced on July 18, 2023, starting from the National War Memorial in New Delhi.
The purpose of this 7-day ride is to celebrate the indomitable spirit of women in the Indian Army and honor the 24th anniversary of the victory in the Kargil War of 1999. The riders will cover a distance of 1,000 km on RONIN motorcycles, which are known for their modern-retro design and features, symbolizing an unscripted lifestyle for urban riders.
The event was flagged off by Gen. Manoj Pande, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC Chief of Army Staff, Mrs. Archana Pande, Chairperson of the Army Wives Welfare Association, and Mr. , Head Business – Premium at TVS Motor Company. The rally is organized under the auspices of Headquarters Northern Command.
Mr. KN Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO of TVS Motor Company, expressed pride in the association with the Indian Army and emphasized their commitment to supporting initiatives that promote patriotism and empowerment. He stated that this collaboration aims to provide a platform for women to challenge stereotypes, conquer new frontiers, and inspire others with their remarkable journeys.

The motorcycle rally will traverse through the plains of Haryana, Punjab, and the mountains of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, ultimately reaching the Kargil War Memorial in Dras on July 25 or 26, 2023. At the memorial, the riders will pay tribute to the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation during the Kargil War.
This event not only commemorates the bravery and professionalism of the Indian armed forces but also demonstrates a commitment to fostering gender equality and celebrating the spirit of women in the armed forces. The participants’ courage and determination aim to inspire more women to break barriers and create their unique paths of success.
