  • Internal changes to the engine are likely
  • Launch scheduled for 2 April 2026

Suzuki India has dropped a teaser for the upcoming updated Burgman, scheduled for launch on 2 April 2026. The maxi-style scooter is set to receive its first major update since its launch in 2018, and could feature changes to its design and internal components.

The teaser reveals a new split LED headlight setup, which looks more modern than the current-gen Burgman’s halogen headlight. The updated scooter should also be available in a bronze colour scheme, as per the teaser.

We expect the maxi-style scooter to get similar updates as the Access 125, with changes to the engine and internals. The updated Access 125 was launched at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, and the new 125cc engine was said to be more fuel-efficient than the previous generation.

For reference, the Burgman Street is powered by a 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 8.5bhp and 10Nm. With the update, the performance is expected to remain the same.

Later, the Access 125 was also updated with a single-channel ABS, and we expect the same to be available on the Burgman as well. Currently, the Burgman lineup is available in 3 variants, the Burgman Street Standard priced at Rs. 93,676, the Burgman Street Ride Connect Edition available for Rs. 97,527, and lastly, the Burgman Street EX costing Rs. 1,07,902. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi rates.

The range-topping Burgman Street EX features 12-inch wheels at both ends, whereas the Burgman Street Standard gets a 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheel setup. Lastly, Suzuki could consider launching a 150cc Burgman, as well.
