VinFast VF7 Earth Base Variant Explained – What You Get For Rs 21.89 Lakh

The electric vehicle space in India is evolving rapidly, with several new global brands entering the market with modern and feature-packed products and one of the latest names to step into the spotlight is VinFast, which has been introducing a range of electric SUVs designed to combine technology, practicality and long driving range.

Among its offerings is the VinFast VF7, and the entry-level version of this model is known as the VF7 Earth. Priced at Rs 21,89,000 (ex-showroom), the VF7 Earth aims to offer a balanced mix of performance, comfort and advanced safety features, which makes it an accessible option for buyers who want to enter the electric SUV segment.

Practicality

The VF7 Earth is designed as a front-wheel-drive electric SUV, meaning the electric motor sends power to the front wheels. This setup is commonly used in vehicles focused on efficiency and daily usability.

At the heart of the SUV is a 59.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. According to official certification, the vehicle offers an ARAI-claimed range of up to 438 kilometres on a single charge. For many drivers, this range is more than sufficient for daily commuting as well as occasional highway trips.

Power comes from a single electric motor producing around 174 bhp (130 kW) and 250 Nm of torque. Torque refers to the pulling force generated by the motor, which helps the car accelerate smoothly from a standstill. The VF7 Earth can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 10.3 seconds, which is typical for a family-oriented electric SUV.

Charging And Battery Technology

Charging convenience is another important factor for EV buyers. The VF7 Earth supports 100 kW DC fast charging, which allows the battery to be charged from 10% to 70% in around 24 minutes. For home charging, the SUV also supports 7.2 kW AC charging, which makes overnight charging possible using a compatible home wallbox.

Size And Space

In terms of dimensions, the VF7 Earth measures 4,550 mm in length, 1,893 mm in width and 1,596 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. A longer wheelbase generally means more cabin space for passengers.

The SUV also offers 190 mm ground clearance, which helps it handle rough roads and speed breakers commonly found on Indian streets. Practicality is another highlight. The VF7 Earth offers a 537-litre boot, giving owners ample storage space for luggage or weekend travel.

Design And Features

The exterior of the VF7 Earth features LED headlamps, signature LED daytime running lights and flush-fit door handles, giving the SUV a modern and aerodynamic look. It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, adding to its sporty appearance.

Inside the cabin, the dashboard is dominated by a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports smartphone connectivity such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other comfort features include dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging, ventilated front seats and vegan leather upholstery. The car also offers multiple driving modes such as Eco, Normal and Sport, allowing drivers to adjust performance depending on driving conditions.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Safety remains a key focus for the VF7 Earth. The SUV comes equipped with seven airbags, along with essential features such as ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold.

Many versions of the vehicle also include advanced driver assistance technologies (ADAS) such as blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control, which help make driving safer and less stressful.

With its long driving range, modern technology and spacious design, the VF7 Earth variant is positioned as a practical entry point into the electric SUV segment.
