Volkswagen India will launch the Tayron R-Line as its new flagship three-row SUV tomorrow. It will be positioned above the Tiguan and will be locally assembled in the country. The price is expected to sit between Rs 48 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. The SUV targets buyers considering the Skoda Kodiaq and Toyota Fortuner, offering a petrol-only, monocoque alternative with seven seats and all-wheel drive. This launch matters because Volkswagen currently lacks a premium 7-seat SUV in India, and Tayron fills that gap in the brand’s lineup.
