2026 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z: What Is Different?

The updated Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z has been launched in India, and it is now powered by a downsized 350cc engine. The new engine has made a few changes to the motorcycle’s performance, and here we go over them:

What is New?

The Pulsar NS400Z used to be powered by a 373cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing 42.4bhp and 35Nm. Now, with the downsized 349.13cc motor, the power has gone down by 2.4bhp and 1.8Nm.

To downsize the engine from 373cc to 349.13cc, the brand had reduced the engine’s stroke length from 60mm to 56.1mm, while keeping the bore size unchanged at 89mm.

The new 349.13cc motor produces 40bhp at 9,000rpm and 33.2Nm at 7,500rpm. This drop in performance is a slight letdown, but the power figure is the same as what the bike produced when it was first launched, before the 2025 UG update.

What Remains Unchanged?

Beyond the engine, the rest of the motorcycle remains largely unchanged. The updated bike is visually unchanged from the previous model. It gets the same design and four colour options: Brooklyn Black, Pewter Grey, Pearl Metallic White, and Glossy Racing Red.

It is built on a perimeter frame and is suspended on an inverted fork and monoshock. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloys at both ends, with braking duties taken care of by a 320mm front and 230mm rear disc setup.

It gets features such as Bluetooth connectivity for call/SMS alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation. Additionally, the bike gets four riding modes, a quickshifter and a traction control system. The bike’s price remains unchanged, and it retails at Rs. 1.93 lakh (ex-showroom).
