Renault Kwid, Kiger And Triber Prices To Increase From January 2026

Renault India has announced a price hike across its mass-market lineup starting January 2026, impacting the Kwid, Triber, and Kiger. The revision will see prices increase by up to 2%, depending on the model and variant. The carmaker has cited rising input costs, higher logistics expenses, as well as sustained operational pressures as the key reasons behind the decision. Current prices will remain applicable until December 31, 2025, giving buyers a limited window to purchase these models at existing rates before the revision takes effect.

Renault India: Price Hike Details Explained

According to Renault India, the price increase will come into effect from January 1, 2026, across its entire passenger vehicle portfolio currently on sale. While the brand has not disclosed variant-wise hike amounts, the increase will be capped at around 2%. The final on-road impact will vary by city, as registration charges, insurance, and local taxes are calculated on the revised ex-showroom prices.

Renault India: Models Affected By The Revision

The upcoming price hike will affect all three Renault models sold in India. The Renault Kwid, positioned as an entry-level hatchback, caters to budget-conscious buyers. The Renault Triber, a sub-four-metre MPV, targets families seeking flexible seating, while the Renault Kiger competes in the compact SUV segment. All variants of these models are expected to see revised pricing from January.

Why Renault Is Increasing Prices

Renault has stated that the decision follows a continued rise in manufacturing costs, including raw materials and logistics. Like many automakers, the company has absorbed cost increases over the past year but now finds it necessary to pass a portion of the burden on to customers. Annual or calendar-year price revisions have become common across the auto industry, particularly at the start of a new year.

What Buyers Should Know

Customers planning to buy a Renault vehicle may benefit from completing bookings before December 31, 2025, to avoid higher prices. Dealers are expected to continue offering year-end benefits and schemes, which could further offset costs for buyers purchasing before the hike takes effect. Deliveries invoiced from January 2026 onward will reflect the revised pricing.
