VinFast Confirms Lac Hong 800S And 900S Luxury EVs For 2027

Vietnamese EV maker, VinFast, has confirmed a strategic structuring of its operations under three distinct brand lines. These will include a high-end luxury EV brand called Lac Hong, the mass-market EVs will continue to be part of VinFast and commercial mobility models will continue to retail under the Green brand. The automaker has also unveiled two flagship electric vehicles that will be launched in 2027 under the new and exclusive Lac Hong brand. Here’s everything we know so far.

Lac Hong 800S Luxury Electric SUV

The Lac Hong luxury EV brand from VinFast will consist of the 900 LX and the new 800S electric SUV alongside the 900S luxury saloon. The brand has also shared visuals of the flagship electric cars and has confirmed that it plans to launch them as soon as 2027. These cars will expand the Lac Hong portfolio that currently has the 900LX which was introduced in 2025. VinFast promises that the upcoming 800S and 900S flagships will incorporate advanced technologies and safety systems along with segment-leading features such as zero-gravity seating, powered doors, privacy partition between the first and second row and a starlight headliner.

In terms of performance, these luxury EVs will have the option of a three-motor powertrain with one motor on the front and two at the rear. These will offer a combined output of 460 kW or 616 hp, giving the EVs some serious propulsion credits. The ride will be further complemented by an all-new, fully active suspension setup. VinFast has not revealed any other technical specification as of now. The interior of these flagship cars will also be highly curated with exclusive materials such as Nappa leather, rare wood inserts and gold-plated accents.

Alongside the Lac Hong range of luxury EVs, VinFast will continue to sell the VF 3 to 9 range of mass-market electric cars under its namesake and the Green commercial mobility brand will retain its portfolio with products such as the Limo Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green and Minio Green. While the strategic structuring is confirmed, there is no definitive statement from the EV manufacturer on bringing the Lac Hong brand and flagship EVs into India as of now.
