Suzuki Katana Limited Edition Revealed With Exclusive Design Updates

The world of performance motorcycles often celebrates exclusivity, and few machines carry as much heritage as the iconic Suzuki Katana. Recently, the two-wheeler division of Suzuki Motor Corporation has unveiled a special version of the bike for the German market called the Katana Limited Edition, however it has been discontinued from the Indian market. What makes this model particularly special is that only 45 units will be produced.

The Katana has long been known for its sharp and futuristic design, a look that first captured attention when the original model debuted in 1981. Over the years, the motorcycle has become a symbol of Suzuki’s bold design philosophy.

For the Limited Edition version, Suzuki has kept the familiar silhouette but added several unique cosmetic touches to make it stand out from the standard model. The motorcycle features silver bodywork paired with bronze-painted alloy wheels, which gives it a striking and premium appearance.

The tail section is finished in black and carries a silver “Katana” graphic, while the front fairing gets dark grey graphics that highlight the bike’s sharp lines. The fuel tank also features a black Suzuki logo along with a numbered sticker showing the bike’s individual position in the 45-unit production run.

To enhance the visual appeal further, Suzuki has included a carbon-look tank pad, frame sliders and a black-and-silver decal package.

Special Accessories

Since this is a collector-focused edition, Suzuki is also offering exclusive accessories to buyers of the Katana Limited Edition. Each customer will receive a Katana-branded garage mat along with a special book detailing the history of the Katana. The book traces the development of the motorcycle from its original launch in 1981 to the modern version available today.

Performance

The bike comes equipped with a road-legal Akrapovič slip-on exhaust, which gives the motorcycle a deeper and more distinctive exhaust sound. However, the core performance of the bike remains unchanged.

The Katana continues to be powered by a 999cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine, derived from the legendary Suzuki GSX-R1000. This engine produces around 150.19 bhp of power and 106 Nm of torque, which delivers strong acceleration and high-speed capability. The motorcycle also uses ride-by-wire throttle technology, which allows the engine’s electronic systems to control throttle response more precisely.

Advanced Electronics And Chassis Setup

The bike features three riding modes, a multi-level traction control system, and a bidirectional quickshifter, allowing riders to change gears without using the clutch. The chassis setup remains the same as the standard model, featuring a lightweight aluminium frame, KYB suspension, and powerful Brembo braking components.

Other modern features include full LED lighting and an LCD instrument display, giving riders all the necessary information in a clear and simple layout. With only 45 motorcycles planned, the Suzuki Katana Limited Edition is likely to become a highly desirable collector’s item.
