While the Indian two-wheeler market was deprived of any major launch, there was quite a bit to pay attention to in terms of upcoming offerings. From the new Yezdi Scrambler to next-gen Suzuki Gixxers, we covered a lot of development related to future products.

2026 Bajaj Dominar 400 Launch

Bajaj Auto officially launched the 2026 Dominar 400 featuring the downsized 350cc engine. The motorcycle is priced at Rs. 2.03 lakh, ex-showroom, which makes it Rs. 37,000 more affordable than before. As has been mentioned multiple times before, the downsizing has been done to bring the motorcycle into the 18 per cent GST category (below 350cc) from the previous 40 per cent taxation slab (above 350cc). The downsizing of the engine due to the reduction in stroke length has caused the power output to increase by 0.6bhp while the torque output is down by 1.8Nm.

Reise tourRad ADV Tyres Launch

Reise launched its new tourRad adventure touring tyre range in India. It is an 80:20 road-biased tyre designed for long-distance touring with occasional off-road use. Prices of these tyres start from Rs. 3,099 and go up to Rs. 6,999, depending on the size and construction. The tourRad features a block-pattern tread with wider grooves to improve traction across surfaces and aid water dispersion in wet conditions. It uses large cross-over centre blocks for better straight-line stability and wider lateral blocks to enhance cornering grip.

Triumph Bonneville 400 Spotted

The upcoming Triumph Bonneville 400 was spotted testing in India for the first time. This retro bike will be the British manufacturer’s latest addition to the 400 lineup in India and is likely to use the new downsized 349cc motor. From the spy shots, the bike appears to stay true to the Bonneville lineage, with the retro design. This upcoming neo-retro bike will likely be launched by Q4 2026, right around the festive season. It will go up against other retro roadsters like the Royal Enfield Classic 350.

New Suzuki Gixxers Launch Timeline

Suzuki is now working on launching a new generation of the Gixxer 150 and Gixxer 250 later this year. We can expect the bikes to be launched in the second half of 2026, possibly in the last couple of months. The Suzuki Gixxer 150 and Gixxer 250 have been around for years, and they’ve only gotten minor updates, including meeting emission norms, over the course of their life. While these are pretty solid motorcycles, be it in terms of refinement, efficiency, or handling, their age is showing.

New Yezdi Scrambler Launch Timeline

The 2026 Yezdi Scrambler is expected to go on sale in India on April 23. The bike is due for an update and is likely to receive a comprehensive one at that. The current Yezdi Scrambler tips the scales at 182kg, which is pretty heavy for a bike that is supposed to be ridden off the beaten path as well. Yezdi is expected to shave some weight off the bike, mostly by fitting lighter parts. There are likely to be some changes to the engine as well. All in all, Yezdi may be looking to reduce the weight by 10-odd kg.
