BMW F 450 GS Launch: Price Expectations

BMW F 450 GS Launch: Price Expectations

The BMW F 450 GS has to be among the most highly anticipated launches of 2026 that is set to take place tomorrow. A twin-cylinder motorcycle, made by TVS for BMW, right here in India.

For a long time, Indian ADV enthusiasts have been demanding a twin-cylinder adventure bike that is manufactured locally. The expectation is that made-in-India motorcycles should be reasonably priced, which will be true in the case of the BMW F 450 GS to some extent.

With bookings officially opened, word is that the prices of the F 450 GS should start around the Rs. 4.80 to Rs. 4.99 lakh mark. BMW is expected to launch four variants of the F 450 GS: the Basic, Exclusive, Sport, and the GS Trophy. The ‘Trophy’ gets tubeless wire-spoke wheels and the Easy Ride Clutch or ERC.

Given how widespread the variants are, the range-topping GS Trophy is expected to sit at the premium end of the scale, perhaps well past the Rs. 6.5 lakh on-road figure and even close to the Rs. 7 lakh mark.

One may wonder if BMW might be repeating the mistake that it made when it launched the G 310 R at a high price, only to end up lowering it significantly, which resulted in an uptick in sales. In reality, however, the F 450 GS is likely to be priced where it should to make room for future models that will be based on the same platform.

The BMW F 450 R and the F 450 RR are expected to be launched in India over the course of the next couple of years, and these bikes will be positioned below the F 450 GS. The F 450 R, for instance, may be priced around Rs. 80,000 less than the F 450 GS.

Nevertheless, there’s quite the excitement for the baby GS, and we can hope to see BMW also go with a special introductory price for the bike tomorrow. Stay tuned!
