Morbidelli N125V has a Liquid-cooled V-Twin Engine!

  • 124.9cc liquid-cooled V-twin; 13.8bhp
  • Smoother delivery with lower vibration

Morbidelli has used the N125V to make a stirring statement in the entry-level naked segment. The company has actually built this motorcycle around a 124.9cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine and not a measly single. The engine has been designed to be a functional solution that changes how the motorcycle feels and connects with the rider. Don’t get your hopes up, Keeway is not bringing this to India.

The benefit of this V-twin layout is in its smoother response. Torque builds progressively and vibration is reduced creating a more refined 125cc package for the real world. This will mean better friendliness, predictability and mechanical smoothness for daily urban riding. The N125V’s engine layout will definitely give a more premium feel than what the category usually offers.

Keeway Engine From Right

N125V is the first N-V platform model in the 125cc segment using a six-valve layout. It produces about 13.8bhp and 10.9Nm. It uses an exposed steel trellis frame and a single-sided aluminium swingarm, which is another uncommon piece of hardware for a 125. Full LED lighting and a compact LCD display complete the package. Yes, this is a well-designed product.

Keeway Instrument Cluster

That engine complexity will mean it will priced way above the usual 125cc pricing, but then again this is not a usual commuter. Owned by Keeway, Morbidelli is a brand much farther away from Indian shores. However, we love the sound logic of a V-twin six-valve liquid-cooled engineer’s candy.
