Bajaj Chetak electric scooter range gets comprehensive updates

Bajaj has rolled-out a comprehensive set of updates for its Chetak electric scooter range. The scooters get new features, improved performance, and a revised naming structure across the range. The updated lineup will now follow a new “C series” nomenclature and will be offered as C25, C30, and C35 models.

As part of the update, the flagship C35 01 variant now comes equipped with integrated Google Maps navigation through the Chetak app. Bajaj has also increased the top speed across all variants.

The C35 01 and C35 02 now offer a top speed of 80kmph, up from 73kmph, while the C35 03 and C30 01 can now reach 70kmph. The entry-level C25 01 delivers a top speed of 60kmph.

In addition to the higher top speeds, the flagship model’s motor output has been increased from 4.5kW to 4.8kW, resulting in brisker performance. The charging time for the C30 01 has also been reduced, with the 0-80 per cent charging duration now rated at two hours and 55 minutes, compared to the earlier three hours and 50 minutes.

The Chetak scooters also get ride modes, including Eco and Sport, along with hill -hold assist as standard on the C35 and C30 series, whereas these features were previously available as paid add-ons. The C35 01 and C35 02 variants will also support over-the-air updates, allowing customers to receive software improvements remotely without visiting a service centre.
