For a small motorcycle like the R15, the aforementioned price increment seems substantial. However, given the massive popularity and cult following that the motorcycle enjoys, the price revision might not affect the buying decision of its potential customers. With a focused design, hardware, and seating position, the R15 is a unique offering as there is no other proper sportbike in this class in India. It is also an attractively loaded motorcycle in terms of technology.

Besides the R1-inspired design and features like TFT screen and traction control, the highlight of the R15 is the 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with variable valve actuation. The high-revving engine of the bike produces 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. It weighs just 141kg and incorporates an 11-litre fuel tank. Underpinned by a Deltabox frame along with an aluminum swingarm, USD forks, and link-type monoshock, the R15’s handling dynamics are sharp and communicative enough to be suitable for the racetrack, besides it being a fun bike to ride on the streets.
