TVS Iqube ST 5.3kWh Review: Living With It

The Electric Transition

If one is to swallow the electric vehicle pill, there’s no better route than a scooter. The latter’s primary purpose is to run errands – not ones that are 50km away, but 500m to a kilometre away. And for that, even a 100km range is plenty.

That’s exactly what I discovered with the TVS Iqube ST. I spent two months living with it, and in that time I used it for my office commute only a couple of times. Not because it can’t handle it, but because I had quicker, more characterful options to choose from – all motorcycles, mind.

But for our daily errands – buying groceries, getting the kids’ spectacles made, finding a replacement door knob, dropping said kids to the metro station, or just getting away from them with the missus for a cup of coffee – the Iqube was our go-to choice. It was easy, convenient, comfortable, vibe-free, and never short of range.

So, if you are planning to get a new scooter, maybe it’s time to switch to electric. And if it’s the Iqube you’re eyeing, here’s a list of pros and cons to help you make a more informed buying decision.
