Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera Added to the Line-up

  • DQS, homologated Termignoni silencers and total black livery
  • European market in June 2026, India to follow

Ducati has revealed the Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera with its European availability in June this year. India launch is expected later. The Nera completes the Hypermotard single-cylinder range adding a darker, more focused-looking version to this gorgeous hooligan motorcycle.

The new Nera livery is a total black theme with red highlights with Ducati Red wheels and frame. It does give the 698 Mono a sharper and more serious street-motard look. It also gets homologated Termignoni steel silencers finished in black with red detailing.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera will also come with Ducati Quick Shift as standard fitment. Since the mono is already built around aggressive riding, DQS will allow clutchless upshifts and downshifts making it feel quicker and more fluid when ridden hard.

The engine remains the same 659cc Superquadro Mono single derived from the twin-cylinder unit of the 1299 Panigale. It has massive 116mm bore piston, combustion chamber design, titanium intake valves, steel exhaust valves and Desmodromic valve timing. Ducati says the engine produces 77.5bhp and can rev up to 10,250rpm definitely making it one of the most extreme road-going single-cylinder engines on sale.

The motorcycle weighs 151kg ready to ride without fuel, thanks to its trellis frame with variable sections and thicknesses, cast wheels and brake discs with aluminium flanges. The double-sided swingarm works through a progressive linkage connected to a fully adjustable rear shock absorber.

Electronics package includes ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, Ducati Power Launch and Ducati Quick Shift up and down. The ABS system also gets settings developed for Supermoto-style riding on track, including a Slide-by-brake function. Ducati has also mentioned that fitting the racing Termignoni exhaust, meant only for track use, adds seven horsepower and activates Wheelie Assist.
