Indian Motorcycle Collaborates with Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde for Exhausts

Indian Motorcycle has signed a cooperation agreement with Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde for Europe, the Middle East and African markets. Official Indian Motorcycle dealers across these regions will offer the Dutch company’s electronically adjustable exhaust systems. There is no India availability confirmation at the moment.

The coolest bit being these exhausts have an adjustable sound character. Each system offers three modes, Dr. Jekill, Dynamic and Mr. Hyde. The idea being letting riders change the exhaust note depending on where and how they are riding. Especially relevant for large V-twin motorcycles where sound is a major part of the ownership experience. These are not crude loud pipes. Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde says the systems are street legal in Europe and carry ECE, EG-BE and TÜV approvals.

This agreement covers delivery, dealer training and tech support. These exhausts need proper fitment, correct wiring and service knowledge. By routing the systems through official dealers, Indian Motorcycle is trying to make the upgrade feel more like a factory-supported accessory than a third-party add-on.

The exhaust range will support Indian Motorcycle models from 2014 onwards, along with future models. For the 2026 range, Indian says the systems can be fitted to the Scout, Chief and PowerPlus bagger and tourer line-ups.

For India, the impact is limited for now. Indian Motorcycle does sells some numbers here, and buyers in this segment often spend heavily on accessories. Unless the systems are officially approved and distributed here, Indian buyers should not assume that the EMEA agreement automatically applies to them. By the way, Indian says this is a great system for the Scout, so Indian customers should hope the collaboration comes to our shores.
