2027 Suzuki Hayabusa unveiled with new colours and Special Edition

The 2027 Suzuki Hayabusa has been unveiled. While the iconic hyperbike remains mechanically unchanged, it gets three new colour options, including a new Special Edition that looks rather fetching.

It Hayabusa Special Edition features a Pearl Brilliant White and Metallic Oort Gray paint scheme with contrasting red graphics, red-highlighted wheels, gold-anodised front brake rotors and chain adjusters, a colour-matched solo seat cowl, and a large, Hayabusa Kanji graphics on the fairing. Overall, the interplay of white and red colours is neat and given the size of the bike, it will contribute to the road presence of the Hayabusa.

Alongside the Special Edition, Suzuki has also introduced two standard colour options – Metallic Mystic Silver with Pearl Vigor Blue and Glass Sparkle Black with Metallic Mat Steel Green. Apart from the fresh paint schemes, there are no styling or equipment changes to the motorcycle.

Powering the 2027 Hayabusa is the familiar 1,340cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 187bhp and 150Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox that features a quickshifter. This engine is known for its incredible flexibility, so one can sit at 60kmph or 300kmph in 6th gear. Not to mention the ballistic performance that it packs.

The electronics package also remains unchanged, featuring multiple ride modes, power modes, traction control, engine brake control, launch control, cruise control, hill hold control, and a TFT-LCD instrument console.

The Hayabusa continues to use its aluminium twin-spar frame suspended by KYB suspension at both ends. Braking duties are handled by Brembo Stylema calipers.

There is no word yet on whether these new colours will make their way to the India-spec Hayabusa. However, given Suzuki Motorcycle India’s history of introducing global colour updates, the 2027 shades could arrive here in the coming months.
