2027 Kawasaki Ninja 300 launched at Rs 3.34 lakh

The 2027 Kawasaki Ninja 300 has been launched in India at Rs 3.34 lakh. The baby Ninja has become more expensive than the outgoing bike by Rs 17,000. While there is a bump in price, the bike is visually and mechanically unchanged.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 has a sporty design, albeit one that is showing its age. It has a twin projector headlight setup, sharp-looking fairing and a neatly designed side and tail section. The bike is only available in the Lime Green colour for 2027.That’s not a bad thing considering it is a similar shade to the one seen on the mighty Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.

Powering the bike is a 296cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 38.4bhp and 26.1Nm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox with an assist/slip clutch.

The steel frame underneath the fairing is suspended by a telescopic fork and a monoshock. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels shod with tubeless tyres. Braking, meanwhile, is taken care of by a disc brake at the front and back.

The Ninja 300 continues to soldier on, despite its age. It doesn’t have the tech or the suspension and braking hardware that you see in rivals like the KTM RC 390, however, it makes up for that with its bullet proof reliability. The parallel-twin engine, in fact, is quite rev happy and sounds good too. There’s decent tractability and good top-end performance as well.

The Ninja 300 is for those who want a no-frills yet proven package in their first supersport. That said, Kawasaki’s spares and service cost, in comparison to competition, must also be considered before making a purchase.
