TVS introduces Apache Junior Programme, hands over RR 200 Mini motorcycles to MMSC

TVS has announced the Apache Junior Programme, a new grassroots racing initiative aimed at nurturing young motorcycle racers in India.

As part of the programme, the company has handed over 10 TVS Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles to the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC), where they will be used to train aspiring racers between the ages of 10 and 14. The handover was conducted at the Madras International Karting Arena (MIKA) which is part of the MMSC.

The programme is designed to provide young riders with structured coaching under the supervision of experienced instructors and TVS Racing riders. Participants will learn the fundamentals of circuit racing, including riding techniques and safety, using the purpose-built Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles. These motorcycles will be available on rent as part of the training programme.

TVS says the initiative is intended to create a way for young riders looking to pursue competitive motorsport. After completing the Apache Junior Programme, riders can progress to the TVS One Make Championship Rookie category from the age of 15, followed by the RR 310 Expert category and eventually international racing opportunities through TVS Racing.
