2026 Honda Vario 160 in Malaysia Gets the Right Colour Palette

• Gets Matte Black, Silver Blue and Gray Gold

Honda Vario 160 has received three new colour options in Malaysia for 2026 adding Matte Black, Silver Blue and Gray Gold to its already varied paint catalogue. The fresh shades show how the right colours can make a familiar scooter appear noticeably more desirable.

Matte Black colour suits the scooter’s angular bodywork. Silver Blue combination adds more vibrancy to the scooter while retaining a mature overall look. It works particularly well with the black sections around the floorboard, exhaust, wheels and lower bodywork. Gray Gold, meanwhile, brings a warmer finish to the Vario’s surfaces.

The wider colour selection is one of the most attractive parts of the Vario 160 package. The scooter already came in Yellow, Silver, Matte Red, Blue, Red, Green and Matte Blue. Together with the three new shades, these choices give customers considerably more freedom to choose. How about Honda India giving us more options please!

This variety also works because the Vario 160 has a design that responds well to colour. It has a low and sharp front end, a compact windscreen, twin LED headlamps and layered side panels. The step-through section remains practical, but the overall shape is closer to a sporty maxi-scooter than a conventional family commuter.

Vario 160 has the same base 156.9cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled four-valve engine with Honda’s Enhanced Smart Power Plus technology shared with the soon to launch Honda ADV 160 for India. This fuel-injected engine produces around 15.2bhp and 13.8Nm at 7,000rpm. Both engines might use the same 60mm bore, 55.5mm stroke and 12:1 compression ratio, but the two scooters have different states of tune.

The ADV160 produces more power and torque, while its Indian version has also been developed to support E85 fuel. The Vario 160, in comparison, is tuned around urban performance, low weight and fuel efficiency. Vario 160 is not coming to India under Honda’s present product plan.
