AXOR Announces India-made REVO Visor Tech

  • Multilayer optical coating manages glare in bright conditions
  • Reflective finish aimed at clarity and visual comfort
  • Local production capacity to reach 2.4 million visors

AXOR REVO Optical Coated Visor has been introduced as India’s first locally manufactured helmet visor to use this optical coating technology. Developed by AXOR’s parent Vega Auto, this visor is designed to manage glare, reduce visual fatigue and maintain optical clarity during those bright daytime rides. The company has not yet revealed the retail price of the visor, or details concerning scratch resistance, ultraviolet protection and the durability of the coating.

REVO visor uses a multilayer optical coating than just a coloured or reflective outer finish. These layers have been engineered to control glare in bright riding conditions while retaining optical clarity. AXOR has invested over Rs. 2 crore in the coating technology and the manufacturing equipment required to produce it in India.

The visor also receives a reflective finish as a result of the optical coating process. Producing the REVO visor in India could give AXOR greater control over quality, volumes and future development. Vega Auto plans to manufacture as many as 2.4 million REVO Optical Coated Visors in the near future.
