Hyundai Grand i10 Nios: The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is currently the most affordable car in India that comes with 6 airbags. However, it is worth mentioning that all trim levels do not come with this safety feature and only the top-spec Asta trim offers 6 airbags.
The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is powered by a 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine and this engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. Prices for the Hyundai Grand i10 Asta variant ranges between Rs 7.94 lakh to Rs 8.51 lakh, ex-showroom.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno: The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is the next least expensive model in India to come with 6 airbags. This premium hatchback offers 6 airbags in the top-spec Alpha and mid-spec Zeta trim levels.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is also powered by a 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine and gearbox options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT unit. Prices for the Maruti Suzuki Baleno Zeta and Alpha variants range between Rs 7.95 lakh to Rs 8.51 lakh, ex-showroom.
Hyundai Aura: The Hyundai Aura is the sedan version of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios hatchback. As a result, the Hyundai Aura comes with a similar set of equipment levels across trim levels. As such, the top-spec SX (O) is the only variant that comes with 6 airbags.
Also, the Hyundai Aura shares its powertrain with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios hatchback. That being said, the Hyundai Aura SX(O) variant is priced at Rs 8.61 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Toyota Glanza: The Toyota Glanza is essentially a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. As such, the Toyota Glanza also comes with 6 airbags on two of its trim levels – G and V.
Prices for these trim levels of the Toyota Glanza premium hatchback ranges between Rs 8.63 lakh to Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom. Moreover, powertrain and gearbox options are also identical to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
Hyundai i20: The Hyundai i20 is the most expensive vehicle on this list to feature 6 airbags. However, despite that, only the top-spec Asta (O) trim level of the Hyundai i20 hatchback comes with 6 airbags.
Hyundai i20 comes with two choices of engine options – A 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated, and a 1.0-litre, turbo petrol. The latter is offered exclusively with a 7-speed DCT gearbox. Prices for the Hyundai i20 variants with 6 airbags range between Rs 9.77 lakh to Rs 11.88 lakh, ex-showroom.
