has launched the MY25 Atto 3 and Seal versions in India. This update adds several new features to both electric cars. The updates come on the launch anniversary of the Seal electric sedan. In the first year, BYD sold 1,300 units of the EV. Over 3,100 units of the Atto 3 have been sold in India since it was first introduced in our country.

For 2025, the Atto 3 comes with an all-black interior. In addition, the driver and front passenger seats now offer ventilation. The Atto 3 low-voltage battery has been upgraded to a Lithium-Iron Phosphate unit. BYD says that the new LFP battery is six times lighter than conventional low-voltage batteries and has a lifespan of 15 years. The EV maker has also announced that the first 3,000 customers of the MY Atto 3 will get it at the MY24 ex-showroom price.
The MY25 Atto 3 continues to be available in three grades: Dynamic, Premium, and Superior. The Dynamic has a 49.92 kWh battery, while the other two feature a 60.48 kWh pack. Prices for the Dynamic, Premium, and Superior grades are Rs 24.99 lakh, Rs 29.85 lakh, and Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The MY25 Seal comes with a power sunshade on the inside and a silver-plater dimming canopy for the panoramic sunroof. BYD has updated the Seal’s air-con system with a larger compressor for better cooling and added a new model for air purification. Adaptive dampers are now available on the premium version, whereas this feature was previously exclusive to the performance version.
For 2025, the Seal’s infotainment system has been updated to include Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatibility. BYD says they have equipped the cabin with a ‘Sound Wave’ function that produces analogue sound to stimulate sound waves. Bookings for the MY25 Seal are now open at Rs 1.25 lakh. Prices for the updated range will be announced in April 2025.
