Citroen Launches C3 Sport Edition In India; Adds A Sporty Twist To The French Hatchback

Citroen has given its C3 hatchback a bit of a makeover with the launch of a new Sport Edition in India. If you’re someone who likes your car to stand out a little more on the road, this version adds a few nice touches, both inside and out, for a small premium of Rs 21,000 over the standard variants.

So, what’s new? The biggest change is the way it looks. The C3 Sport Edition gets ‘SPORT’ decals, sporty metal pedals, ambient lighting, and a bunch of interior tweaks that lean into the theme. These include soft seatbelt cushions and matching floor mats. There’s also a new Garnet Red body colour, which adds a bolder vibe to the hatchback’s already quirky design.

It’s available in three trims: Rs 6.44 lakh for the base Live variant, Rs 7.73 lakh for the Feel, and Rs 8.37 lakh for the top-spec Shine (all prices ex-showroom). If you want a bit more tech, there’s an optional add-on kit for ₹15,000 that throws in a wireless charger and a dashcam.

Mechanically, the Sport Edition doesn’t change anything under the hood. It continues with the familiar 1.2-litre petrol engines, a naturally aspirated version with 82 hp and a turbocharged one that makes 110 hp. Both are known for their peppy city performance and easy drivability.

According to Citroen, the Sport Edition is meant to bring more “energy and thrill” to the C3, which already has a bit of a reputation for its smooth ride and bold styling. And while it’s not a major overhaul, these small upgrades could appeal to younger buyers or anyone who wants a car that looks a little more fun without spending too much more.
