EV2 Concept Previews Kia’s New Entry-Level Electric SUV

Kia will soon have a large portfolio of electric SUVs, and the entry-level model will be spawned from the recently unveiled EV2 concept. It will first make its debut in Europe by 2026. Going by the image shared by Kia, the EV2 appears to be roughly the same size as the Sonet sold in India.

Kia hasn’t shared powertrain details. However, there is a high probability that the EV2 will get the same setup as the . It comes with a 49.0 kWh battery pack, promising a range of 300 km. The Inster features a single electric motor placed on the front axle, producing 113 hp and 146 Nm of peak torque.

Kia EV2: Exterior

The EV2’s exterior design is compact and resembles the newer Kia EVs, such as the EV4 and EV9. The front has vertically stacked headlights and a flat face. Unique bits include rear-hinged doors and LED taillights pushed to the outer edges.

The interior of the EV2 is neat. The design is minimalist, like that of most modern EVs. The dashboard has a big vertical tablet that houses the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment touchscreen. The front seats sit on a track and can be pushed back to reveal a flat floor.
