Game-Changing Ultraviolette Shockwave Electric Bike Launched For Rs 1.50 Lakh: Hero XPulse Under Pressure?

, the Bengaluru-based EV start-up, has introduced the Shockwave off-road enduro bike in India, priced at Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the first 1,000 customers will benefit from a discounted price of Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the are now open through the company’s official website and authorized dealerships, with deliveries expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026.

Ultraviolette Shockwave: Design

The Shockwave electric ADV has been introduced alongside the Tesseract E-Scooter that the company introduced on the same day. The new Shockwave is built on a lightweight platform specifically designed for both roadster and off-road motorcycles. Unlike typical enduro bikes designed solely for track use, the Shockwave is a street-legal off-road machine, providing versatility for both urban and rugged terrains.

Powering the Shockwave is a 14.5bhp electric motor, paired with a 4kWh battery. The bike offers an impressive IDC range of 165 km on a full charge and can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. The motor delivers peak torque of 505Nm, with a kerb weight of 120kg, ensuring a dynamic and thrilling ride. The bike can reach a top speed of 120 km/h.

For enhanced safety and performance, the Shockwave is equipped with four traction control modes, switchable dual-channel ABS, and six levels of dynamic regeneration. It rides on 19/17-inch wire spoke wheels fitted with 90/90 R19 and 110/90 R17 dual-purpose tyres. The bike is available in two color options: Cosmic Black and Frost White.

Ultraviolette currently has five platforms in total. The “F” platform is for sportbikes, “S” is for scooters, and “L” is for lightweight bikes. Additionally, there are two more platforms, “X” and “B,” which will be used for models that are yet-to-be-revealed.
