Honda Files Design Patent For NT1100 Sports Tourer In India

Honda has been filing a series of design patents in India. We earlier reported on the Japanese brand filing patents for a Hornet 2.0-based neo-retro motorcycle and the NPF 125 scooter. Now, the brand has filed a design patent for the NT1100 Sports Touring motorcycle.

: Engine

The Honda NT1100 is on sale in international markets. This sports tourer uses a 1.084cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 100 hp and 112 Nm of peak torque. The engine pairs with a 6-speed gearbox.

Honda NT1100:

The NT1100’s feature list is extensive. It includes all LED lights, a 12v socket, a USB-A socket, and cruiser control. The sports tourer also has a 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen with a secondary LCD meter and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Though Honda has filed a design patent for the NT1100 sports tourer in India, the brand hasn’t confirmed if it will launch it anytime soon. If launched, it will compete with the Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX and the BMW R 1250 T.
