Hyundai Car Discounts Updated For March 2025: Venue, Exter, i20 And More

New Delhi: Motor India Limited () has launched the “Super Delight March” campaign, offering discounts between Rs 35,000 and Rs 55,000 on its Exter, Venue, i20, and Grand i10 NIOS models. The move aims to boost sales as the overall car market faces a slowdown.

More Discounts Expected from Other Brands

With the auto industry struggling this year, other car manufacturers are also expected to roll out similar offers. Hyundai has not shared full details, but the discounts will include a mix of price cuts and freebies.

Car Sales Drop in India

The Indian car market is facing a tough time. According to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), vehicle sales dropped by 7.19% in February 2025 compared to last year. Passenger car sales saw an even bigger dip of 10.34%.

Industry experts say this slowdown is due to weak consumer confidence, high dealer inventories, and delayed purchases. Many dealers are also unhappy about being forced to take on extra stock they cannot sell easily.

Hyundai Loses Market Position

Hyundai has been hit hard by the downturn. In February 2025, it fell to fourth place in India’s car market with sales of 38,156 units, behind Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Tata Motors. This was a sharp 36% drop from January’s 59,858 units.

“Super Delight March” Offers

Hyundai’s latest discounts include:

Rs 55,000 off on the Hyundai Venue

  • Rs 35,000 off on the
  • Rs 50,000 off on the Hyundai i20
  • Rs 53,000 off on the Grand i10 NIOS
  • Hyundai’s COO, Tarun Garg, said the offers are meant to make it easier for customers to own a Hyundai, calling it a “celebration” rather than just a purchase. The company has also launched a TV ad promoting the campaign.

Discounts Come at a Crucial Time

Experts believe Hyundai’s price cuts are part of a larger effort to regain lost ground. The stock market has been down for five months straight, reducing people’s willingness to spend on big purchases like cars. Dealer stock levels are also higher than usual, suggesting that carmakers may be pushing more inventory than what customers are actually buying.

However, with festivals like Holi and Gudi Padwa coming up, some dealers expect sales to pick up in March. Around 45% of dealers surveyed by FADA said they were hopeful for growth.

    Other Brands Also Offering Deals

Hyundai is not the only brand making adjustments. Skoda Auto India recently announced new offers on its Kushaq, Slavia, and Kylaq models. The company is now including a free one-year maintenance package and extending warranties, with the Kushaq SUV now coming with a 5-year/125,000 km standard warranty. Skoda has also upgraded mid-level trims with features like an electric sunroof, alloy wheels, and rain-sensing wipers.
