Hyundai Venue: A Victim To Vicious Vandalisers

In a recent incident recorded on a dashcam that occurred in Bangalore, an innocent Hyundai Venue was overtaking a truck when a biker crossed over into their lane and the driver honked to get him to move when they assaulted him. The rider was with three friends who were also on two-wheelers.

This occurred on a new road that links Varthur to DS Rivera. In the video, it was evident that the riders did not appreciate the car’s honking as they started to come in the way of the Hyundai Venue and disallowed the driver from getting past them. Slowly, they started reducing their speed before coming to a full stop, also making the Venue driver halt behind them.

The riders started confronting the driver and made several attempts in opening the car door. The fear and uneasiness in the driver’s voice as he tries to apologise is clearly audible but somehow manages to put the car into reverse and take himself out of the situation.

The goons followed the driver to his house where they continued to harass him. They also went on to break the windshield of the Hyundai Venue and assault him inside his property.

All of this was recorded on a CCTV Camera and the Bengaluru Police was informed about this incident. They immediately began an investigation to find these wrongdoers. According to a Police official on Twitter they have arrested the accused individuals and strict action will be taken. He also uploaded a photo of them along with the caption.

Driving in India is becoming quite unsafe as there are a lot of short tempered people on the road who tend to take out their anger on innocent road-goers and cause unnecessary harm to them. These riders did not have any right assaulting or harassing the driver by threatening him and following him to his house.

Nonetheless, this is the reality of the situation and people need to stay mindful of their surroundings and avoid antagonising people on the roads unnecessarily. This is a sign to always be stay safe, stay calm, and be smart.
