In recent years, India has seen a tremendous increase in EV adoption, signaling a shift towards sustainable mobility. As the world grapples with the urgency of combating climate change and reducing carbon emissions, India has emerged as an EV hub in the global electric revolution.
The country’s ambitious vision of achieving an all-electric vehicle fleet by 2030 has spurred a wave of innovations, investments, and policy reforms, paving the way for a greener and cleaner future.
Recently, GO EC Autotech Pvt Ltd, a startup based in Kerala, announced that they would install 1,000 super-fast EV charging stations across India. The company currently operates 70 charging stations in Kerala and over 33 in various locations across the country.
According to the reports, the company aims to expand its reach by installing more charging stations in major cities, state and national highways, and tier-2 tier-3 cities where EV adoption is experiencing slow growth.
Additionally, the company plans to install chargers in selected remote locations, catering to the needs of people residing in such remote locations, which will help them switch to electric vehicles.
This is a massive project for the startup and signifies an important milestone in their journey. GO EC has already gained recognition for successfully installing more than 103 charging stations across India within a single year.
The company intends to transform the overall charging experience. It has partnered with major restaurants and shopping malls in India to enable hassle-free charging services for EV users while enjoying their visit.
According to P G Ramnath, the CEO of GO EC, the company’s objective is to offer environmentally friendly charging solutions that empower EV users and catalyze India’s shift towards sustainable mobility.
“A notable hurdle faced by electric vehicle owners is the absence of sufficient charging infrastructure, making long-distance travel a daunting task. Addressing this issue, GO EC, an environmentally conscious business, has embraced the mission of establishing charging stations across the entire nation,” he added.
This ambitious project is not only a stepping milestone for the company but also highlights its commitment to providing sustainable charging solutions and enhancing the adoption of EVs in India.
With its expanding network of charging stations, GO EC Autotech is going tol be a key player in facilitating the country’s transition into a greener and more sustainable mode of transport.
