Kia Syros Launched In India At Rs 8.99 lakh

Today, Kia India announced the prices and variant list of the Syros SUV. The compact SUV sits between the Sonet and Seltos, and its prices start at Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Sonet has a base price of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Seltos begins at Rs 11.12 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Syros will be available in five trims: HTK, HTK(O), HTK+, HTX, and HTX+. Ex-showroom prices for these are as follows:

• Syros HTK: Rs 8.99 lakh
• Syros HTK(O): Rs 9.99 lakh
• Syros HTK+: Rs 11.49 lakh
• Syros HTX: Rs 13.29 lakh
• Syros HTX+: Rs 15.99 lakh

The Syros will have two engine options, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. The petrol engine is good for 118 hp and 172 Nm of peak torque, while the diesel engine produces 113 hp and 113 Nm. Both engines have a 6-speed manual gearbox. The petrol gets the option of a 7-speed DCT, while the diesel gets a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
