Maruti Grand Vitara Crosses 3 Lakh Sales In India, Sets Segment Record

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has announced that the Grand Vitara SUV has surpassed 3 lakh unit sales in the domestic market, just 32 months after its launch in September 2022. This milestone establishes it as the fastest-selling mid-size SUV in India, averaging over 300 units sold per day.

The Grand Vitara has emerged as a strong performer in the competitive mid-size SUV segment, rivalling models like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. It is available with multiple powertrain options, including a strong hybrid and an AllGrip Select 4×4 system, features that have broadened its appeal among urban and performance-focused buyers.

Maruti Suzuki has recently updated the model for 2025, adding features such as a panoramic sunroof, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system. The company is also preparing for the launch of its first electric SUV, the e-Vitara, as part of its long-term strategy to expand in the EV space.
