The recall comes after internal checks and data revealed that some vehicles may have undergone faulty rework on their fuse boxes. This defect could cause serious issues such as system failures, sudden loss of propulsion, or, in worst cases, a fire, posing significant safety risks to drivers and passengers.

Mercedes-Benz has begun contacting owners of the impacted vehicles and will carry out the necessary repairs free of charge. This marks the third recall by the company in 2025 related to potential fire risks. Previous recalls addressed software-related problems and airbag deployment issues.
