MG Comet EV Blackstorm Edition Launched in India

JSW MG Motors India has launched the Comet Blackstorm Edition in India. The Comet is India’s fourth MG model after the Hector, Astor, and Gloster to receive this special edition. Prices for the Comet Blackstorm start from Rs 7.80 lakh (ex-showroom) with MG’s BaaS scheme, where you’d have to pay Rs 2.5/km for the battery. Order books are now open, and bookings are being accepted at a token amount of Rs 11,000.

Blackstorm: Exterior

This special edition features an all-black exterior with red accents on the bumper, skid plate, and side cladding. Black steel wheels with a unique star-like red pattern and a special ‘Blackstorm’ badge on the fender are also included in the package.

MG Comet Blackstorm: Interior

Inside, the Blackstorm maintains the standard model’s white and grey dashboard colour scheme but upgrades the seats to black upholstery, complete with red stitching and ‘Blackstorm’ headrest badges. The cabin layout remains consistent with the original Comet EV.

MG Comet Blackstorm: Features

In terms of features, the Blackstorm edition carries over the tech and safety equipment from the standard model. On offer is a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a matching driver’s display, and support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The feature list also includes manual air conditioning, a four-speaker sound system, two airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-hold assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), along with a rear parking camera and sensors.
